Annual Community Food Drive
West Pines and LSPPOA have collaborated since the onset of the COVID pandemic to foster a spirit of community support for those in need.
The delivery of food donations is scheduled for the upcoming days. We extend our gratitude to the West Pines Campers for their generous contributions during their early Thanksgiving Pot Luck celebration, plus the donations of food and cash received by members at the AGM.
Unfortunately the need is up and contributions are down. If you are able please consider a cash donation: e-transfer mmpctreasurer7@gmail.com.

Let's Get the LEAD OUT - Protecting our Lakes and those that depend on it.
How can you help: Petition for Change and reasons why: Petition For Change
It seems that our Loon family successfully navigated the summer on the Lake without any issues this year. The last sighting of the remaining Loon occurred on September 30, as it continued to relish the autumn days at Lake St. Peters. Additionally, members will receive a letter detailing the events where donations of Lead Free tackle were made during Canada Day and the Kids Fish Derby's held at Lake St. Peter.

FireSmart Tips & Tricks:

Fall is the best time to winterize your home and prepare your property for spring! It’s easy to do with these simple tasks:
🧹 Clear your gutters and remove yard debris. Don't forget to check these easily missed places: roof valleys, window wells, gaps between deck boards, behind sheds, and the fence-to-house corner.
🪵 Firewood belongs outside the Immediate Zone, never against a wall or under a deck. By spring, it will be at its driest, so store wood and other combustibles at least 10 m from your home.
🪴 Patio furniture, planters, trailers, RVs, and boats also belong outside the Immediate Zone when packed away for winter.
🍂 Municipal landfill sites are designated for waste disposal, including yard waste and tree limbs. It is important to note that illegal dumping of organic materials on Crown Land is prohibited, and dumping on sideroads and trails can create significant fire hazards.
