Watersheds Canada has offered an amazing opportunity to Lakes in our area of Hastings County to participate in a Fish Habitat Enhancement Program. Lake St. Peter and 4 other member lakes in Hastings Highlands Interlake are starting into the phases of Fish Habit Enhancement led by Watersheds Canada who have obtained approval from the MNR to proceed.
We introduced this exciting project at the AGM on Sunday, September 1, 2024 and provided an overview with an education board, handouts and discussion.
We are looking for volunteers to build Brush Bundles which will provide habitat for small fish providing them shelter and breeding grounds.
